August 28th - suspicious results requiring follow up appointment with specialist for colposcopy examination
September 1st - colposcopy performed confirming presence of pre-cancerous cells requiring immediate treatment. A ‘LLETZ ‘procedure (Large Loop Excision at Transformation Zone) would be performed under general anesthetic ASAP.
The specialist also took 4 or 5 biopsies (samples of tissue) from the area to confirm his diagnosis.
What a fun way to spend a few days with such a diagnosis hanging over me. The specialist was certain of what he could see and said the operation would need to be done quickly. His exact words were “Felicity, you WILL be having this operation”.
Time to Pray. I informed my husband, Shane, our ministers and a few close Christian friends and together we stood upon the Word of God. I am a child of God and believe His healing power is available for me. At this time I felt a great peace come over me. For the week we lived entirely by faith, we tithed even though this left us without enough money to pay for the operation. Shane and I knew our God would take care of our needs. I did not allow any fear to overcome me and I would say that no one who was unaware of my diagnosis would have been aware of any difference in me.
Party Time. The night before the pathology results were available we gathered together to pray and eat lots of Eden’s yummy food. We prayed and thanked God, believing for healing.
September 5th - I entered the specialist’s office with the knowledge that he wanted to operate. I also had the knowledge that my God is greater than anything in the world!
The doctor asked me if I was nervous, and I truthfully answered “No” and told him that many people were praying for my healing. He sat at his desk and read me the biopsy report. It was almost as if he could hardly believe it himself.
NO pre-cancerous cells present, merely an infection.
“No operation?” I asked
“No operation” he answered.
“The power of prayer” was all I could say.
The Lord Almighty SO loves me that He healed me. AMEN and Praise God for my healing.
